Hotel Byronion

Hotel Byronion is a small boutique hotel in Nafplio's historic old town, housed in a 19th-century building on Plapouta Street a short walk from the central Syntagma Square. The hotel takes its name from Lord Byron, the British Romantic poet who travelled through the Peloponnese during the Greek War of Independence in the 1820s — a period whose memory is preserved in the neoclassical architecture, liberation monuments, and street names throughout Nafplio. The building retains its period character through thick stone walls, high ceilings, arched doorways, and tiled floors, while offering modern essentials including air conditioning and WiFi. Room types include standard doubles and larger triple rooms suitable for families or groups travelling together; a selection of rooms have balconies overlooking the pedestrianised street below.
