Amphitryon Hotel

Amphitryon Hotel stands on the seafront at the base of the Akronafplia promontory in Nafplio, positioned directly above the water at the point where the old town meets the Argolic Gulf. The building is a renovated neoclassical structure woven into the historic urban fabric of Nafplio — Greece's first modern capital after independence from Ottoman rule in 1829, a town where Venetian towers, a mosque-turned-art-gallery, and a Bavarian-influenced street grid survive in close proximity. The main façade faces south over the gulf, and most rooms carry balconies with sea views toward the Bourtzi island fortress and the mountains of the eastern Peloponnese. Room categories include deluxe sea-view doubles and junior suites with panoramic bay outlook; interiors are finished in polished stone, whitewashed plaster, and dark timber with understated Mediterranean elegance.
