Check rates on Booking.comBooking tips
Get the best deals and avoid common mistakes.
Book 2-3 months ahead for June to September and for Carnival (February); sea-view rooms sell out first.
Hotels near Nice-Ville station cost less than seafront hotels and the tram reaches the Promenade in about 10 minutes.
Old-town hotels can be noisy on Cours Saleya and Rue Droite evenings; ask for an inner-facing room.
A per-night tourist tax is charged on top of the room rate and is usually paid at check-out.
Check the air-conditioning line in the room description in July and August; some smaller hotels have none.
Large events (Cannes in May, Monaco Grand Prix) push Nice prices up sharply even though they happen in other cities.
