The campsite is within walking distance of Étretat's world-famous chalk cliff formations: the Falaise d'Aval with its natural arch and the detached needle of the Aiguille, the Falaise d'Amont on the opposing headland, and the newer Falaise de Manneporte to the west. These cliffs, made internationally famous by Monet's series of paintings and later by the novels of Maurice Leblanc featuring Arsène Lupin, draw hundreds of thousands of visitors each year and are among the most photographed landscapes in France.
