Rent a car for maximum flexibility — the N1 coastal highway is well-paved and safe for self-driving
Start the Salvation Islands day very early — the ferry departs Kourou at exactly 07:30 and will not wait. Be at the port by 07:00.
For Cacao Sunday market, leave Cayenne no later than 07:00 to arrive before the best food is gone
The Space Center tour requires advance booking (at least 3 days) by email to visite-csg@cnes.fr — bring your passport
Saül is not a day trip — it requires a minimum of one overnight stay. Book flights well in advance as capacity is very limited.
