L'Appart

L'Appart is a high-energy bar in Annecy's historic old town, located on Rue de la Fromagerie a short walk from the lake shore and the Canal du Thiou. The bar's name and concept evoke the informal comfort of a shared apartment: mismatched furniture including sofas, armchairs, and wooden tables creates a living-room atmosphere that encourages lingering over drinks. Board games are available throughout the evening and the bar has a sociable, relaxed character that reflects both Annecy's mountain culture and its large seasonal tourism population. The venue operates year-round but its identity shifts with the seasons. In winter it is one of Annecy's principal après-ski bars, attracting local residents and visitors who have spent the day on the slopes at La Clusaz, Le Grand Bornand, or other Haute-Savoie resorts reachable within an hour. In summer, the same dynamic shifts to après-hike and après-paddleboard, with visitors arriving from the lake and the walking trails lacing the hillsides above the city. The drinks programme centres on craft beers from Alpine and Savoie microbreweries alongside a solid selection of Savoie regional wines, including whites from Apremont and Chignin and reds from Mondeuse. Génépi, the wild herb spirit emblematic of the Alps and widely produced in Haute-Savoie, appears in several cocktails and as a digestif. The bar opens daily from 16:00 and closes at 02:00 on most nights, extending later during peak ski season and festival periods.
