Jincheng Lake Wetland Park

Jincheng Lake Wetland Park sits within the Sino-French Ecopark area of Longquanyi District, Chengdu, and centers on a self-purifying wetland lake rather than any sandy shore. The lake's edges are engineered wetland habitat, planted to filter and clean the water naturally, bordered by a running and walking loop rather than a beach; there is no sand, pebble shore, or swimming access anywhere on the site. The loop trail around the lake has become known locally as a night-running hotspot, drawing joggers and cyclists especially in the cooler hours of early morning and evening. Open lawns surround parts of the lake for casual rest or picnics, and admission is free at all hours, which supports its use as a daily exercise spot for residents of the surrounding Sino-French Ecopark development rather than a typical tourist attraction. Amenities are fairly minimal by design: the running and walking loop, open lawns, and free all-day admission are the main draws, with limited seating, restrooms, or food vendors compared to Chengdu's larger, older parks. Because it sits about 24 km from Tianfu Square with limited direct metro access, most visitors arrive by taxi or rideshare rather than public transit, and the park sees more local residents than tourists. The loop path is flat, paved, and step-free for its full length, suitable for running, cycling, and walking regardless of pace.
