Zhengding is a walled county town on the Hutuo River north of Shijiazhuang, Hebei Province, China, that preserves an unusual concentration of historic monuments. Once a major regional centre and a strategic gateway on the road to Beijing, it retains reconstructed city walls and gates along with Buddhist temples and pagodas from the Tang through Qing dynasties. The most important is Longxing Temple, at No. 109 Zhongshan East Road, which dates to the Sui dynasty and was greatly expanded in the Song.

Longxing Temple is built along a north-south axis. Its centrepiece is the Great Compassion Pavilion, which houses a bronze statue of the thousand-armed Guanyin cast in 971 AD during the Northern Song dynasty. The statue stands roughly 22 metres tall and is one of the largest surviving cast-bronze figures in China. Other buildings include the Moni Hall, notable for its unusual cross-shaped plan and Song-era murals, a revolving sutra repository and several steles. The temple is both a museum and a place of worship, and visitors move at a quiet pace through its courtyards.

Beyond the temple, the old city offers several standalone monuments, among them the Linji Temple and its Chengling Pagoda, the Kaiyuan Temple towers and the Tianning Temple Lingxiao Pagoda, many of which can be viewed from the street. The reconstructed Nanmen gate and wall sections give a sense of the town's former fortifications. A comfortable visit takes three to four hours, with the temple best seen in the morning and the old streets in the afternoon. Crowds are heaviest on weekends and national holidays, while weekdays are calm. The old city streets are free to walk, and the area is compact enough to explore on foot or by bicycle, with local snacks and noodle shops along the main lanes.
