Visitors move through the miniature landscape first, where the detail on structures like the Great Wall's winding ramparts and the Leshan Giant Buddha rewards slow walking and close-up photography, then continue into the folk village for craft demonstrations and scheduled ethnic dance shows. A visit typically takes three to five hours, with mornings best for the miniature scenic sites when the light is even and paths are less crowded, and evenings reserved for the folk village's dance and music performances staged on an open-air platform. The elevated walkway overlooking the miniature Guilin landscape and the Great Wall model are the most photographed vantage points. Weekends and national holidays bring large tour groups, especially around performance times, so weekday visits are markedly calmer.
