Anhui is an inland province in eastern China, best known for the granite peaks of Huangshan (Yellow Mountain), the UNESCO-listed Huizhou villages of Hongcun and Xidi, and the Buddhist mountain of Jiuhua Shan. Its capital and largest city is Hefei. Anhui is the home of Hui cuisine, Xuan paper and Hui ink, and some of China's most famous teas. It has no sea coast, but the Yangtze River, Chaohu Lake and Taiping Lake give it plenty of waterfront.
Anhui's nightlife is modest and centres on Hefei, where the Baohe Wanda bar street, the Swan Lake area and university districts hold the province's bars, craft-beer taprooms and KTV. Wuhu has a smaller riverfront scene, while Tunxi (Huangshan) offers lantern-lit Old Street strolling, tea houses and a few bars. Most travelers spend evenings at night markets, tea houses and hot-spring resorts instead of clubs.
Hefei has the widest range, with a student-driven bar and craft-beer scene and upscale high-floor lounges. Wuhu is smaller, and Tunxi, Chizhou and Jiuhua Shan stay traditional.

- Average drink
- CNY 25-60 for a beer or basic cocktail at a standard bar (~$4-9); CNY 70-120 (~$10-18) at upscale Hefei lounges; a KTV room costs about CNY 100-400 (~$15-60) per group per hour
- Dress code
- Smart casual is fine in nearly every venue; upscale Hefei lounges lean smarter, while Tunxi and Wuhu are relaxed. Shorts and sandals are usually accepted in casual bars but not always in Hefei clubs.
- Cover charge
- Anhui is not a nightlife destination: outside Hefei, most places wind down by 10-11PM, and hiking bases such as Huangshan Tangkou and Jiuhua Shan are early-to-bed. Venue names and hours change often, so check current listings on Dianping or Trip.com before heading out. Coordinates for Hefei bars are area-level; use the venue name in Baidu Maps or Amap for the exact pin.
