Dock's Oyster House

Dock's Oyster House is Atlantic City's oldest continuously operating restaurant, having first opened on Atlantic Avenue in 1897. This seafood institution has endured through the city's multiple transformations, remaining a steadfast landmark for shellfish devotees and a rite of passage for serious diners visiting New Jersey's Shore. The menu is anchored by the oyster bar, which serves East Coast varieties on the half shell by the half dozen or dozen, with the selection varying by season and market availability. Whole Lobster, a classic Shrimp Cocktail, and fresh-caught fish prepared to order round out a menu that changes little because it does not need to.
