Some segments of the embankment and the Park Slavy memorial zone have restricted or temporarily changed access because of repairs and security measures, so the whole length cannot be assumed continuous; maps and local signage should be followed. Metro stations Arsenalna, Dnipro and Pecherska give access points, and the Poshtova Ploshcha funicular or the Pedestrian Bridge link the walk to Volodymyrska Hill and Trukhaniv Island. The walk is best in the early morning or at sunset; summer midday sun is strong on the exposed sections.
