Combining Mudurnu and Göynük in a single day by car is very doable — allow 5–6 hours for both towns plus lunch
For Yedigöller in October, leave Bolu by 07:30 to secure a parking spot before the car park fills by 10:00
The Mengen Chefs' Festival (2nd week of August) is an excellent reason to time a Mengen day trip in that week
An Ankara day trip is a full-day commitment — the Anıtkabir and the Museum of Anatolian Civilisations are the main draws
