Solhan Termal Oteli

Solhan Termal Oteli occupies a purpose-built spa complex on the thermal spring site in Solhan District, roughly 55 kilometres northwest of Bingöl city along the D875 highway. The surrounding terrain is rugged highland plateau, and the hotel functions as the primary accommodation hub for visitors to this part of Bingöl Province. Its setting near the spring source means the mineral water piped into the on-site pool retains a higher concentration of sulphur and magnesium than many urban spa hotels, which draws guests specifically for therapeutic bathing.

The building dates from the early 2000s and follows a straightforward regional resort style — low-rise, stone-clad facades blending with the rocky hillside. The interior is practical rather than decorative, with tiled corridors and simply furnished rooms sized for comfort rather than luxury. Standard Double rooms include twin or queen-bed configurations with en-suite bathrooms, satellite television, and small balconies oriented toward the valley. The Thermal Suite expands on this with a private jacuzzi fed directly from the thermal circuit, making it popular for honeymoon stays and couples seeking a restorative weekend.

The centrepiece amenity is the indoor thermal pool, maintained at approximately 36–38 °C year-round. Access is included in room rates, and the pool area operates in gender-separated sessions during peak periods. A basic fitness room adjoins the spa corridor. The on-site restaurant serves Turkish breakfast — bread, olives, eggs, white cheese, honey — as part of most room packages, and offers à la carte Anatolian dishes through the evening, including locally sourced lamb stews and lentil soups. Free parking is ample, which suits the hotel's predominantly road-trip and rural-retreat clientele.
