Kemer Balık

Kemer Balık is the most popular seafood restaurant at Kemer's yacht marina, situated in the coastal resort town of Kemer approximately 45 km southwest of Antalya city along the D400 highway. The restaurant occupies a terrace position directly beside the marina, with tables looking out over a bay crowded with sailing boats and motor yachts against a backdrop of the pine-forested Taurus Mountains that descend steeply to the coast at this point. The natural setting — particularly in the late afternoon when the light softens on the mountains — makes Kemer Balık one of the most visually appealing dining locations in the western Antalya region. The fish menu follows the rhythms of the Mediterranean season: summer brings levrek (sea bass), çipura (sea bream), and barbunya (red mullet) to the daily catch, while cooler months introduce bluefish, bonito, and other migratory species. Grilled whole fish, sold by weight, is the menu centrepiece. Karides güveç — shrimp, tomato, and green pepper baked in a sealed terracotta dish and brought to the table bubbling — is the most popular cooked preparation and a genuinely satisfying alternative to whole fish. A rotating meze selection provides cold starters drawn from the Turkish Aegean tradition. Turkish white wine, particularly Narince or Emir varietals, pairs well with the seafood and is represented on the list. The restaurant is popular with yacht charter guests and resort hotel visitors from Kemer's significant accommodation base.
