Lara Beach

Lara Beach, stretching along the coast east of Antalya city in the Lara and Kundu districts of Muratpaşa, is the center of Turkey's most concentrated luxury resort zone. The beach consists of fine sand mixed with pebble and extends for several kilometers in a gentle arc facing the open Mediterranean, with calm, warm water and reliable sunshine through the long Antalyan summer. The coastline here is defined by an extraordinary density of large all-inclusive resort hotels, many of them among the largest hotel complexes in Europe by room count, and these properties control the majority of the beach frontage with dedicated sections of sunbeds, pools, beach bars, and water sports facilities. The experience at Lara Beach is therefore significantly shaped by the resort structure: guests of the major hotels have direct beach access within their properties, while independent visitors can access the public sections of the beach that exist between hotel boundaries. The Mediterranean water at Lara is warm from June through October, typically reaching 27 to 28 degrees Celsius at the peak of summer. Water sports including jet skiing, parasailing, banana boat rides, and paddleboarding are widely available from operators along the beachfront. The Lower Düden Waterfall, which plunges directly into the sea, is visible on boat tours departing from the Lara area. The resort zone has a full complement of dining, entertainment, and shopping options, and the beachfront road has cafes and restaurants accessible to non-guests.
