The Kızılay Modern Eats Tour is a self-guided afternoon-to-evening itinerary through the commercial and civic heart of Ankara, covering five food stops across 1.5 kilometres from Kızılay Metro Station to Tunalı Hilmi Caddesi. The tour opens at Kızılay Square, the central plaza of modern Ankara, where street vendors sell simit alongside commuters and office workers at around 25 TRY for a ring with çay; from there the walk moves into the side streets behind Güvenlik Caddesi, where döner stands serve the dürüm wrap — grilled lamb or chicken rolled in thin lavaş bread with tomatoes and parsley — at 100–150 TRY per portion. The pastane stop is Çiçek Pastanesi at Atatürk Bulvarı No:126, one of Ankara's established confectionery houses, which sells pistachio baklava and Ottoman-style sweets alongside Turkish coffee at a combined cost of 100–180 TRY. Continuing along Yüksel Caddesi, Başkent Mantı offers mantı — tiny hand-folded dumplings topped with garlicky yogurt and paprika butter — a Turkish comfort-food staple available here at 120–220 TRY per bowl. The tour concludes on Sakarya Caddesi, Ankara's principal bar and restaurant street running parallel to Atatürk Bulvarı, where outdoor-terrace venues serve wine, rakı, or ayran into the evening at 100–200 TRY per serving.
