Hasan Dağı is a dormant stratovolcano that dominates the southern skyline of the Aksaray plain, and the cold mountain streams originating on its slopes feed the trout pools from which the restaurant draws its fish. The setting is distinctly rural: open-air tables arranged under poplar and willow trees beside the running water, with the volcanic cone rising in the distance. The menu is deliberately narrow, focused almost entirely on alabalık (rainbow trout): grilled over charcoal or fried in oil, served with fresh bread, salad, and lemon. The fish are raised in stream-fed tanks near the property, ensuring a consistent supply through the warm season. Village bread baked in a stone oven is a secondary speciality, served warm alongside the fish.
