Dry_season
Months: November, December, January, February, March, April
The dry season brings clear skies, calm seas, low humidity (by Thai standards), and excellent beach conditions. This is peak tourist season. The Andaman Sea is at its most turquoise and all boat trips, diving, and island-hopping are fully operational.
Wet_season
Months: May, June, July, August, September, October
The south-west monsoon brings frequent rain (usually heavy afternoon showers rather than all-day rain), rough seas, strong rip currents, and red-flag beach closures. Many boat services to islands are reduced or cancelled. However, hotels are cheaper, crowds are thinner, and the island is lushly green. Diving on the Andaman's west coast is not recommended but some operators still run trips to calmer sites.
