Staubbach Falls drop roughly 270 metres from a cliff directly above the village of Lauterbrunnen, in the canton of Bern, Switzerland. The water leaves the rock face as a thin veil and breaks into mist before reaching the valley floor, which gives the falls their name. The most common frame is from the village road and meadow below, with the fall as a vertical white ribbon against the dark cliff and the houses of Lauterbrunnen in the foreground.

A closer frame is available from the path at the foot of the cliff, and an elevated view is possible from the trail that climbs behind the falls. The cliff faces east, so the spray is back-lit by morning sun, creating a glowing veil and sometimes rainbows; this is why morning is recommended. By afternoon the face falls into shade, and the water loses contrast. The best season is April to October, with the strongest flow in late spring and early summer snowmelt; in dry spells the fall can thin to a trickle. The location is free, roadside and busy in summer, since it is one of the first sights seen from the Lauterbrunnen train station area, but the viewing area is wide and positions are easy to find. A tripod is acceptable at the roadside if it does not obstruct pedestrians or traffic. A wide-angle lens is needed because the village is close to the cliff, while a telephoto isolates the falling water. Drone flights in the Lauterbrunnen valley are tightly restricted by local rules and nature protection, so pilots should verify first. Restrooms, cafes and water are in the village centre.
