Harder Kulm is the viewing platform on the ridge directly above Interlaken in the canton of Bern, Switzerland, reached by the Harderbahn funicular from the Interlaken Ost side. The cantilevered Two Lakes Bridge platform projects over the drop and frames Lake Thun to the west, Lake Brienz to the east, the town on the narrow plain between them, and the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau to the south.

The composition is a true panorama: the lakes and rooftops provide the foreground and midground, and the three famous peaks fill the horizon. The platform faces south and south-west, so the peaks are best lit from late afternoon through sunset, when low western sun brings warm colour to the snow and long shadows into the valley. Morning light is more frontal and cooler, but it clears the haze from the lakes. The funicular operates seasonally, with 2026 dates running from 3 April to 29 November, so winter visits are not generally possible by lift. Clear days after fresh weather give the sharpest views, and a polariser helps cut lake glare and deepen the sky. The platform is among the most visited sights above Interlaken, and sunset queues for the front railing can be long in summer; arriving early and claiming a spot at the end of the platform is the usual approach. Tripods are workable but can obstruct the narrow platform, so a compact travel tripod or a railing-braced setup is more courteous when crowded. Drone flying around the platform and the restaurant area is restricted, and pilots should consult the official Swiss drone map. A ticket is required for the funicular, and prices change by season, so the Harderbahn site should be checked before the trip. The nearby Harder Kulm restaurant has restrooms and drinks, and short walking paths lead to quieter viewpoints along the ridge.
