El Globo sits at Calle Estafeta 52, one of the most storied addresses in all of Navarre. The Estafeta is the central artery of the Running of the Bulls — the encierro — where each morning during San Fermín (7–14 July) the bulls charge from the corrals near Santo Domingo through the narrow street toward the Plaza de Toros. El Globo occupies a prime position on this corridor, and during festival week the bar becomes a natural staging point for runners preparing at dawn, for spectators who have claimed street positions above, and for those choosing to experience the encierro from the relative safety of a barstool. Outside festival season, El Globo operates as a classic Navarrese neighbourhood bar: coffee from the morning, wine and beer by the glass from the afternoon, and a pintxo counter that varies by day. The atmosphere is thoroughly traditional — no DJ, no cocktail theatre, no soundtrack beyond the noise of the street. The price range remains at the affordable end for old town Pamplona, reflecting the bar's identity as an everyday local rather than a tourist-oriented showpiece. Hours run from 9:00 AM to 2:00 AM daily, extending to 3:00 AM on weekends. During San Fermín the bar stays open through the night, its position on the encierro route making around-the-clock service a practical necessity. The crowd during festival week is international — runners, journalists, photographers, and the steady stream of visitors who come simply to stand on the Estafeta and absorb the atmosphere.
