Wittmore Hotel

Wittmore Hotel occupies a 16th-century townhouse on Carrer dels Riudors in the Sant Pere neighbourhood, a largely residential district that sits between the Gothic Quarter to the west and El Born to the south. The Palau de la Música Catalana — one of Barcelona's UNESCO World Heritage sites and the most celebrated Modernista concert hall in the city — stands approximately 150 metres from the hotel entrance. The Picasso Museum is a five-minute walk south; El Born's central market building, independent restaurants, and wine bars are equally accessible.

The building retains its original stone staircase, exposed brick walls, and heavy timber beams, all integrated into a contemporary interior scheme. The architects worked with a muted palette of natural materials — linen, leather, unfinished stone — to achieve a calm residential atmosphere distinct from the more theatrical luxury hotels in Barcelona's centre. The hotel opened in 2012 and has maintained a strictly adults-only policy, which reinforces the quiet character of the property.

The 22 rooms are individually furnished and categorised as Classic, Superior, Deluxe, and Junior Suite. All incorporate exposed brick or stone details, locally sourced textiles, and high-quality mattresses. Junior Suite rooms add a separate sitting area. A small rooftop terrace provides views over the Sant Pere roofline and functions as a relaxed space for reading or early evening drinks; it is not a pool terrace.

The hotel does not operate a restaurant, but the concierge service is considered one of the property's principal assets. Staff maintain an extensive curated list of neighbourhood recommendations across price points and can arrange evening tickets for Palau de la Música Catalana concerts, private walking tours of Sant Pere's less-visited streets, and reservations at El Born's most sought-after restaurants.
