Hipotels Playa de Palma Palace

Hipotels Playa de Palma Palace is a five-star beachfront hotel of about 224 rooms at Avinguda de Fra Joan Llabrés 20 on the Playa de Palma, Mallorca, Spain. Palma Cathedral is about 10.5 km away in a straight line. The hotel belongs to the Hipotels group, whose site is hipotels.com, and rates run from about €150 to €380 per night in the resort category. Listed amenities include air conditioning, a bar, free Wi-Fi and wheelchair-accessible areas. The Playa de Palma is a long urban beach strip stretching east of the city along the bay, lined with promenades, beach clubs, shops and restaurants. The airport is only a few kilometres away, and the Palma city centre is reachable by the E-routes and city buses, or by a taxi ride of around twenty to thirty minutes depending on traffic. The area is geared to summer holidays, with a long swimming season, flat walking and cycling paths along the seafront, and a wide choice of casual dining. Winters are quieter, and some venues in the area close or reduce hours between November and March. With 224 rooms, it is a mid-sized resort rather than a mega-hotel, and the five-star classification suggests a higher level of service than neighbouring holiday hotels, with restaurants, pools and relaxation areas typical of the category; guests should check the website for the current list. Rooms are offered as double rooms, superior rooms and suites. The service character is that of a leisure resort aimed at couples and families seeking a beach holiday with easy airport access. The old town of Palma is a bus or taxi ride away along the coast, and guests who want to combine beach days with sightseeing usually plan one or two city excursions. Peak season is June to September, and spring and autumn offer lower prices and comfortable temperatures.
