Apartamentos Playa de Luarca occupies a residential block on the main avenue of Luarca, a traditional Asturian fishing village on the western Cantabrian coast. The Atlantic beach, Playa de Luarca, lies roughly 300 metres from the property along a flat seafront path. The town centre — with its covered municipal market, cider houses, and the cliff-top cemetery that holds the grave of Nobel Prize in Literature laureate Camilo José Cela — is within a five-minute walk. Luarca is widely regarded as one of the most photogenic villages on the Asturian coast, its tiered whitewashed houses stacked above a horseshoe harbour protected by a sea wall.

The property offers self-contained apartments rather than standard hotel rooms, making it better suited to stays of two nights or more. The structure is a mid-20th-century residential block without a formal lobby or reception area, practical in appearance and maintained to a clean and functional standard consistent with its rating.

Studios accommodate two guests and include a kitchenette, dining area and shower room. One-bedroom apartments add a separate bedroom and a slightly larger cooking area. Two-bedroom units sleep four to five guests and suit families or small travel groups. Upper-floor apartments have sea or partial sea views. All apartments include free Wi-Fi. Street parking on Avenida de Luarca and adjacent streets is generally available free of charge outside peak summer weeks.

There is no restaurant, spa or pool. Guests cook independently or use the harbour-side restaurants within a short walk, several of which specialise in fresh Atlantic fish and shellfish. A supermarket on the eastern edge of town supplies all self-catering essentials. The Camino del Norte passes through Luarca's town centre, making the property a practical stop for pilgrims preferring a private apartment to a shared pilgrim hostel.
