Garden Court O.R. Tambo International Airport

Garden Court O.R. Tambo International Airport is an airport-area hotel near the terminals at OR Tambo International Airport in Kempton Park, Gauteng, South Africa. The hotel offers an airport shuttle, which links it to the terminals a short distance away, and it is used mainly by travellers with early departures, late arrivals or overnight connections. Central Johannesburg and Sandton are roughly 25 to 30 kilometres away, reachable by the Gautrain from the airport station or by road. Garden Court is a mid-range brand in the City Lodge Hotel Group, known for consistent, straightforward service and moderate prices. The building is a practical airport hotel focused on comfort and convenience rather than design. Accommodation is offered as Standard Rooms and Family Rooms, with free Wi-Fi throughout. Amenities include the airport shuttle, a restaurant serving breakfast and other meals and a pool, which is a useful extra for guests with a long layover or a hot day before an evening flight. Breakfast is available for early departures, and the restaurant serves meals for guests arriving later. The hotel does not list a spa, so it is best treated as a comfortable overnight base rather than a leisure destination. Service is friendly and efficient and geared to transit passengers, airline crews, business visitors to the airport area and small groups. Family Rooms suit families travelling before or after a flight. Nightly rates run from roughly R1,300 to R2,200 depending on season and room type, which is well below the price of the on-terminal five-star hotels. Guests should confirm shuttle times and the pick-up point when booking, particularly for very early or late flights, and should allow extra time on the road during peak traffic periods. Booking ahead is advisable during school holidays and around December and July, when airport hotels fill quickly.
