Terrou-Bi Resort

Terrou-Bi Resort is one of Dakar's most established large-scale beachfront properties, spread across a seafront compound on Route de la Corniche Ouest. The resort faces directly onto the Atlantic, with its own private beach sheltered below the Corniche clifftops, three outdoor swimming pools, and gardens that buffer the property from the ambient noise of the coastal road. The name derives from the Wolof phrase meaning 'return to our land', and the resort has operated as a significant hospitality anchor on the Dakar seafront for several decades.

The property contains more than 180 rooms and suites including ocean-view rooms, garden-view rooms, and larger suite categories with extended private terrace space. Rooms are furnished in a warm palette with African art accents on the walls and in the corridors; higher-category rooms include direct sea views from private balconies.

Six restaurants and bars operate across the property: a main international buffet restaurant for breakfast and most daily meals, a poolside grill and bar for casual daytime eating, a beach-level seafood restaurant, and a dedicated evening entertainment venue that hosts live music and themed nights. The on-site casino is licensed and operates from the evening through to late night, offering roulette, blackjack, and slot machines to hotel guests automatically and to registered external visitors.

A full-service spa, water sports equipment rental including kayaks and snorkelling gear, a nightclub, and regular live Senegalese sabar drumming performances fill the evening and daytime programmes. The convention centre accommodates events of several hundred attendees, drawing conferences, state receptions, and corporate gatherings to the property. Families, leisure groups, and business delegations represent the main guest demographics.
