A 30 km Red Sea waterfront promenade with parks, sculptures, cafes and sunset strolls.
The Jeddah Corniche is the long waterfront promenade along the Red Sea on the north side of the city, stretching roughly 30 km with parks, playgrounds, fishing piers, cafes and open-air sculptures. It is the city's main place to stroll after sunset, when families, joggers and groups of friends fill the paths and the sea breeze cools the evening. Restaurants and ice-cream stands sit along the route, and several public beaches and waterfront parks are signposted. Tall waterfront towers and the lights of the Al-Rahma Mosque mark the northern end. A visit can be an hour's walk or a full evening, and ride-hailing makes it easy to hop between sections. Summer afternoons are very hot and humid, so the cooler months and evenings are best.
