The Ned Doha occupies a purpose-designed building in Msheireb Downtown Doha, the 31-hectare urban regeneration project that revived the city's oldest residential quarter using a contemporary interpretation of Qatari vernacular architecture. Msheireb Metro station on the Gold and Red lines is immediately adjacent, providing direct access to the airport, West Bay, and Souq Waqif. The Souq itself is about a 12-minute walk through Msheireb's pedestrian-priority streets, and the Museum of Islamic Art park is roughly 1.5 km along the waterfront.

Sophisticated members club and hotel in a striking building with 90 rooms and suites. Multiple restaurants, rooftop pool, spa, and exclusive club atmosphere bringing London style to Doha.

The building was designed in collaboration with the Msheireb Properties development framework and opened as The Ned group's first Middle East location in 2022. The exterior references the pale limestone and geometric shadowing typical of the wider regeneration scheme, but the interior — conceived with Art Deco glamour inspired by the London original — delivers something sharply different from the neutral contemporary hotels dominant in Doha. Dark panelling, hammered brass fittings, graphic tile floors, and deep-green upholstery define the public areas.

The 90 rooms and suites are distributed across seven categories from Cosy to Extraordinary, each furnished with bespoke pieces, a curated in-room bar, and premium linen. Bathrooms have freestanding tubs or oversized showers depending on room category. Upper floors have views of the Msheireb rooftops and, in some orientations, the Corniche.

Eight dining and drinking venues are the property's primary attraction. Cecconi's serves Venetian-Italian cuisine with an excellent handmade pasta selection. Malibu Kitchen is the all-day American diner format that The Ned operates at all its properties. Ned's Club is the main social bar with a live music programme most evenings. The Rooftop venue hosts the pool with a separate bar and lighter food menu and is the property's most in-demand reservation in the winter months. Additional venues include a Japanese-inspired bar, a private dining room, and a members-only bar accessible to Ned's Members globally.

The Ned Spa covers dedicated treatment rooms for facials, body work, and massage alongside a hammam-inspired wet room and a well-stocked gym used by hotel guests and Ned's Members alike. The members club concept means hotel guests share all facilities with local members, giving the property an unusually active social atmosphere compared to conventional luxury hotels — some travellers find this appealing; those seeking seclusion may not.

Tips for visiting

  • The Rooftop pool bar is The Ned's most coveted table — reservations typically open 14 days out and fill within hours for Friday and Saturday evenings in the high season (November–March).
  • Ned's Members can use all venues globally; hotel guests have full access to all dining and the pool without a membership, but members' bookings occasionally take priority for specific events.
  • Msheireb Metro station is literally at the building's base — there is no reason to take a taxi for journeys to the airport, Al Sadd, or the Museum of Islamic Art.
  • Cecconi's lunch is significantly quieter than dinner and offers the same menu — a practical option if you cannot secure a dinner reservation.

When to visit

November to March, when The Ned Rooftop pool terrace is usable and the Msheireb neighbourhood is lively with outdoor events.

Accessibility

The Msheireb development is built to high accessibility standards with step-free pavements and entries throughout the precinct. The hotel building has lifts serving all floors and step-free lobby access. Accessible room configurations available on request.
