Ibis Doha occupies a purpose-built midrise in Al Sadd, one of Doha's most established urban neighbourhoods, long associated with the city's retail corridors and commercial activity. The hotel is approximately 5 kilometres from the Museum of Islamic Art and Souq Waqif, and roughly 15 kilometres from Hamad International Airport. Al Sadd Metro station on the Green Line is approximately a 10-minute walk, connecting guests to the airport, West Bay, and the National Museum without requiring a taxi.

The Accor-operated property opened as one of the first international budget-brand hotels in Qatar and remains among the most competitively priced options with 24-hour front-desk service. The building's 170 rooms follow the Ibis standard format: compact rooms averaging around 21 square metres, furnished with a double or twin bed, a wall-mounted flat-screen television, a small work surface, and an en-suite bathroom with a fixed-head shower. Air conditioning is individually controlled and effective during the intense Gulf summer. The design language is the brand's characteristic orange-and-white palette, consistent with Ibis properties worldwide.

The Sweet bar and 24-hour restaurant serve hot meals at any hour from a rotating international menu of sandwiches, salads, pasta, and grilled items — the Ibis constant that distinguishes it from self-service budget options. Breakfast is available for a modest additional charge. WiFi is complimentary throughout the building. A compact business corner with desktop terminals handles basic printing and connectivity. No pool or gym is on the property. Al Sadd's surrounding streets include pharmacies, supermarkets, exchange offices, and numerous independent restaurants serving South Asian and Arabic cuisine at local prices, making the neighbourhood largely self-sufficient for guests with modest requirements.
