Wilanów Palace, at ul. Stanisława Kostki Potockiego 10/16 in the southern Wilanów district of Warsaw, is a Baroque royal residence built for King Jan III Sobieski from 1677. Later owners, including the Lubomirski, Potocki and Branicki families, expanded the building and its collections. Unlike most of Warsaw, it survived the Second World War largely intact, which makes it one of the best places in Poland's Masovian region to see authentic interiors from the Commonwealth era.

Inside, the Royal Apartments reproduce the rooms of the king and queen, with painted ceilings, tapestries and period furniture. The Gallery of Polish Portraiture displays generations of nobles, kings and artists, and further rooms hold the Potocki family's collections. Outside, the formal gardens descend in terraces toward Lake Wilanów, with Baroque parterres, an English-style landscape park, an orangery and garden pavilions. In summer, rowing boats can be rented on the lake. The Poster Museum stands next to the palace and is a separate visit. A typical visit takes two to three hours, with about an hour for the palace and the rest for the gardens. The palace opens in the morning and the park from about 9AM to dusk. Mornings are the quietest, particularly on weekdays, while weekend afternoons and sunny summer days draw families and school groups. The best photo angle is from the central garden axis looking back toward the rear facade, and from the lakeside path where the palace reflects in the water. Free-entry days exist and are announced on the official site. Wilanów is 30 to 45 minutes from the city centre by bus, so many visitors combine it with a stroll through the surrounding park and the nearby Church of St Anne.
