Las Wolski is a large forest on the western edge of Krakow, with marked trails, Krakow Zoo and the Pilsudski Mound, built in the 1930s. The popular route climbs from the Zoo area through beech and oak woodland to the mound, with viewpoints over the city, and loops back via the Camaldolese Hermitage in Bielany. Around 8 km with moderate climbs, it is a favourite local half-day walk.
