Turquoise flooded quarry below limestone cliffs, with a city park and seasonal bathing area.
Zakrzowek is a flooded limestone quarry in the Debniki district, about 3 km south-west of the Old Town, ringed by white cliffs and turquoise water. The area was opened as a public park, with grassy slopes, viewing platforms and a promenade, and in recent summers a supervised bathing area has operated on part of the shore. Outside the marked zone swimming is prohibited because of the deep, cold water and steep rock walls, so check the current rules posted at the entrances before going in.
