Hostel Nomba

Hostel Nomba is located on Calle 50 in El Cangrejo, a street that forms part of Panama City's main commercial artery connecting the financial district to the Via España entertainment zone. The El Cangrejo Metro station is within a short walk, and Albrook bus terminal is two Metro stops away, providing practical access for travellers arriving from the Interior or moving on to transit points across the city. Restaurants, supermarkets, pharmacies, and banks on the surrounding streets keep the location self-sufficient for day-to-day needs.

The hostel opened in response to the growing community of digital nomads transiting through Panama City, and its design reflects that focus: the interior combines a boutique hostel aesthetic with co-living functionality, using clean contemporary finishes in white and wood tones. Capsule-style sleeping pods in the dormitory areas provide each guest with a curtained private enclosure, personal reading light, power outlets, and USB charging points — a step above conventional open-bunk arrangements. Private rooms are available for solo travellers or couples, with en-suite or shared bathrooms and air conditioning throughout.

The coworking area on the ground and mezzanine levels features ergonomic seating, dual monitors at select stations, and a reliable high-speed internet connection. Printing facilities are available. Community events and social programming are organised most evenings, from skill-sharing sessions to group cinema on the rooftop terrace.

No restaurant is on site, though a communal kitchen allows light meal preparation. The immediate Calle 50 surroundings offer numerous café and dining options within three minutes on foot, including international chains and local Panamanian lunch counters.
