The neighbourhood is dense with trekking gear shops, travel agencies, and restaurants serving everything from dal bhat to wood-fired pizza, making the hostel a practical base for pre- and post-trek logistics in the Himalayan capital.

The building follows a contemporary style that contrasts with Thamel's older brick-and-timber architecture — clean lines, whitewashed walls, and exposed concrete give it a distinctly urban feel uncommon for a Nepali budget property. The hostel opened in the mid-2010s as part of a wave of social hostels targeting the millennial and Gen-Z backpacker market.
