Gandaki Weather & Climate Guide 2025
Plan your trip with detailed weather information and seasonal tips for Gandaki.
Gandaki Province is Nepal's adventure heartland, home to Pokhara—the gateway to the Annapurna Himalayas—and encompassing some of the world's most dramatic landscapes from subtropical valleys to high-altitude deserts. The province stretches from the Terai plains to the peaks of the Annapurna and Manaslu ranges, including the mystical kingdom of Mustang.
Best Time to Visit
Best Months
October to November
The months after monsoon deliver Nepal's clearest Himalayan views, perfect trekking temperatures (10-25°C on trail), dry trails, and the country's major Hindu festivals (Dashain and Tihar). October is consistently the finest month.
Months to Avoid
June to August
The monsoon brings extreme rainfall (600-940mm/month), trail hazards, leeches, landslide risk on mountain roads, and poor mountain visibility. Only Upper Mustang remains viable for trekking.
