Club Himalaya Nagarkot

Club Himalaya Nagarkot occupies a ridge-top position at approximately 2,175 metres elevation in Nagarkot, a hill village 32km east of Kathmandu in the Bhaktapur district. The ridge commands one of the widest Himalayan panoramas accessible by paved road from the Kathmandu Valley, with clear-day views stretching from Dhaulagiri in the west to Kanchenjunga in the east — a 200-kilometre sweep across eight of the world's fourteen highest peaks. Bhaktapur's Durbar Square, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is approximately 15km southwest.

The resort comprises a main lodge building and several cottage units arranged along the ridgeline, all orientated to maximise the mountain panorama. Architecture draws on traditional Nepali hill-house vernacular with stone base courses, pitched corrugated-metal roofs painted in earthy tones, and wood-framed windows. Interior design favours warm timber panelling, locally woven textiles, and Himalayan motifs rather than generic hotel décor.

The 50 rooms and suites range from Standard Himalayan View Rooms to Junior Suites and Family Rooms. All face the mountains. Deluxe and Suite categories include floor-to-ceiling glazing to frame the panorama from the bed; underfloor heating is available in upper-category rooms given the elevation, which can drop below freezing in winter months.

The Himalayan Grill restaurant serves rotating menus of Nepali, Indian, and continental dishes with a locally sourced breakfast buffet. The open-air viewing terrace, equipped with telescopes for peak identification, is the social heart of the resort; fire bowls are lit in the evenings during cooler months. An infinity-edge pool appears to float above the Kathmandu Valley. A fitness room and a small massage spa are also available.
