Los Tulipanes

Los Tulipanes occupies a riverside site in Villahermosa's CICOM cultural zone, near the Museo Regional de Antropologia, and has built its reputation on a live marimba trio that performs during lunch service and again in the early evening, giving diners and drinkers a genuine taste of the tropical marimba tradition rather than recorded music. The crowd spans families with children during the day to couples and small groups of friends by early evening, with casual to smart-casual dress typical throughout. The bar side of the operation serves cold domestic beer and a modest list of rum- and tequila-based cocktails, positioned as a complement to the food menu rather than a specialist cocktail program. Because the venue functions primarily as a restaurant, there is no cover charge and no dedicated dance floor, though diners sometimes rise to dance a few steps near their tables when the marimba plays a well-known cumbia. Hours run daily from around 1PM to 11PM, with the marimba performances anchoring the two busiest windows of the day; there is no late-night programming, and the venue closes well before Villahermosa's other bars.
