Atelier Playa Mujeres

Atelier Playa Mujeres is an adults-only, all-inclusive resort in the Playa Mujeres development, north of Cancun on the Costa Mujeres coast of Quintana Roo, Mexico. It lies roughly 25 to 30 minutes by road from downtown Cancun and a similar drive from Cancun International Airport, close to the marina from which boats cross to Isla Mujeres. As with other resorts in the development, visitors stay outside the Hotel Zone in a planned resort district with a golf course and several large hotels, so most dining and entertainment is on site. The property is described as design-led with a boutique-style layout, favouring a more intimate feel than the large high-rise resorts along Blvd. Kukulcan, with art-influenced public spaces and landscaped grounds. The beach faces the northern Caribbean and is generally calmer than the open-sea stretches of the Hotel Zone, although seasonal seaweed can appear. Rooms are grouped into Junior Suites, Swim-Up Suites and Ocean View Suites, many with terraces and soaking tubs or plunge pools in higher categories. Amenities include a spa, a fitness center, several pools, beach service, bars and Wi-Fi. Dining is based on a set of a la carte restaurants with international, Mexican and Mediterranean-style menus, plus a breakfast venue, and the all-inclusive plan covers meals and drinks. Service is oriented toward couples and honeymooners, with a concierge team that arranges tours to Isla Mujeres, Chichen Itza and cenotes. Rates run from about MXN 6,125 to 14,875, roughly USD 350 to 850 per night, depending on suite and season. Visitors should plan transfers in advance, since the resort is not within walking distance of shops or restaurants.
