Parque Plaza Sésamo

Parque Plaza Sésamo is a Sesame Street-themed amusement park in San Nicolás de los Garza, in the northern Monterrey metro area, built around a licensed set of rides, a water play area, and live character shows featuring familiar Sesame Street figures. The park is scaled toward young children rather than teens or adults, with gentle rides, a splash zone that is especially popular in the warmer months, and scheduled shows and character meet-and-greets throughout the day. A typical family visit runs three to five hours, covering several rides, at least one show, and time in the water play area, with many families bringing a change of clothes for children who use the splash zone. Midday tends to be the busiest period, when scheduled shows draw the largest crowds to the central stage areas; arriving near the Wednesday opening time and heading to popular rides first can reduce wait times before the park fills. Because the park's hours vary seasonally and it is closed Monday and Tuesday, checking the current schedule before visiting is worthwhile, particularly outside school holiday periods when hours can be shorter. The park's rides and water area are best enjoyed in the morning through early afternoon, both because it is cooler and because the youngest visitors, the park's core audience, tend to tire by late afternoon.
