Estadio BBVA is the 53,500-seat home stadium of CF Monterrey, known locally as the Rayados, opened in 2015 in Guadalupe with a design that frames Cerro de la Silla directly behind the open end of the stadium, making the mountain visible from the stands and pitch during matches. On non-match days, guided stadium tours take visitors through areas normally off-limits to the public, including the players' locker room, the tunnel leading to the pitch, and pitch-side seating, with guides sharing details of the club's history and the stadium's construction. A standard tour lasts about an hour to ninety minutes, while attending an actual Liga MX match, when scheduled, is a longer experience spanning the pre-match atmosphere and the full game. Tours run Tuesday through Saturday on non-match days, so checking the schedule in advance is necessary since match-day access differs from tour access, and tours are suspended when a game is being prepared. Match days, when the stadium hosts Rayados home games, draw dramatically different crowds and atmosphere from a quiet weekday tour, with tens of thousands of fans filling the stands; the view of Cerro de la Silla framed above the open end of the stadium is best appreciated during a late-afternoon or early-evening kickoff, when the mountain catches the setting sun.
