Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal occupies an isolated headland at the very tip of the Baja California peninsula, set within the Pedregal residential community above Cabo San Lucas. The resort is accessible only through a 180-metre private tunnel bored through the mountain from the main road, making it one of the most physically secluded luxury hotels in Mexico — guests pass through the tunnel directly onto the resort grounds, where the Pacific Ocean and the Sea of Cortez converge in the distance beyond the property's clifftop pools. A funicular provides an alternative connection between the arrival level and the beachfront below the cliff.
The resort consists of 115 rooms and suites arranged across terraced levels on the cliffside, opened in 2008. The architectural language uses natural stone, polished concrete, and glass that frame ocean views from virtually every internal vantage point. Butler service is standard across all room categories; upper-tier suites include private plunge pools and open-air terraces with direct Pacific or dual-ocean exposure.
El Farallon is the resort's signature dining experience and one of the most celebrated restaurant settings in Mexico: tables are set on a series of wooden decks built directly into the sea cliffs, with the Pacific surf breaking on the rocks 15 to 20 metres below depending on tide. The menu focuses almost entirely on fresh Pacific and Sea of Cortez seafood, and the wine cellar is carved into the adjacent rock face. Don Manuel's is the resort's second restaurant, serving traditional Mexican cuisine in a hacienda courtyard setting on the arrival level.
The Waldorf Astoria Spa offers six treatment suites with ocean views, an outdoor hydrotherapy circuit, and treatment menus incorporating local Baja botanicals and volcanic minerals. Three infinity pools cascade down the cliffside at different levels.
