One&Only Palmilla

One&Only Palmilla occupies a 900-acre private peninsula at Km 7.5 on the Carretera Transpeninsular, positioned between San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas roughly 7 km from the San José del Cabo International Airport. The resort commands one of the few genuinely swimmable beaches in the Los Cabos corridor, facing a protected cove with calm Sea of Cortez waters — a rarity on a coastline dominated by Pacific surf. Originally built in 1956 as the private retreat of Don Abelardo Rodríguez, the resort retains its classic hacienda architecture: white-painted walls, terracotta tiles, wrought-iron fixtures, and hand-crafted furnishings that create a sense of timeless colonial Mexico against a dramatic coastal backdrop.

Accommodation spans 173 suites and villas in categories ranging from Ocean Suite to Two-Bedroom Grand Villa with private plunge pool.
