Musashi Kyuryo National Government Park Cycling Course

Musashi Kyuryo National Government Park in Namegawa, Hiki District, Saitama offers around 17km of dedicated in-park cycling paths winding through woodland, ponds, and open lawns, separate from the longer Arakawa Cycling Road that runs outside the park boundary. The gently rolling, fully paved paths are designed for recreational riding rather than sport cycling, so no particular fitness level or cycling experience is needed, and the park is popular with families and casual visitors riding rental bikes at an easy pace. There is no minimum age for riding as a passenger on a child seat or tandem, and children old enough to ride independently can use the paths under adult supervision. Standard bicycles and e-bikes are available for rental at the park's cycling centre, with helmets included in the rental price; visitors bringing their own bicycle can also use the paths after paying standard park admission. The park is managed directly by the Ministry of the Environment's Musashi Kyuryo park office rather than a private tour operator, so there is no formal safety briefing beyond posted trail signage and path speed limits; staff at the cycling centre can advise on route options and closures. The park is open year-round, with the March–May poppy and nemophila flower fields and the September–November autumn colour season drawing the largest crowds; riding is most comfortable outside the height of summer heat, and some paths may close temporarily after heavy rain or snow.
