Spa World

Spa World is an 11-story hot spring theme park in the Shinsekai district of Naniwa Ward, built around more than a dozen themed indoor and outdoor bathing zones styled after different world regions, including areas inspired by ancient Rome, Finland, various Asian bathing traditions, and other cultures. The building's bathing floors are split between two zones, one styled Asian and one styled European, and because the facility is a shared, mixed-gender building outside the baths themselves, the two zones swap between men's and women's use on a monthly rotating schedule, so visitors should check which zone is currently designated for their gender before entering. Beyond the baths, the complex includes saunas, a swimming pool area with waterslides open to both genders and swimsuits, a relaxation floor with reclining chairs and a food court, and, on some floors, amusement-style attractions. A visit typically runs three to five hours, and because the facility operates on an almost 24-hour schedule, it functions as a popular overnight option for travelers between flights or after a late arrival, with reclining lounge areas available for resting. Evenings and overnight hours are generally less crowded than weekend daytime hours, when local visitors fill the baths and pool areas.
