Orion Beer Garden (Naha)

Orion Beer Garden is a seasonal rooftop venue in Naha built around Orion, Okinawa's own lager, brewed in Nago since 1957 and the island's most beloved local beer. There is no chef-driven concept here; the menu exists to complement the beer, pairing ice-cold Orion draft with classic Okinawan izakaya fare such as yakitori skewers, edamame, goya tempura, and island sausages. The rooftop setting overlooking Naha, open only from May through October, gives the venue a distinctly seasonal character — this is not a year-round destination, and its appeal is tied specifically to warm-weather evenings. The atmosphere is lively and communal, with long shared tables, standing-room areas, and a noise level that rises steadily through the evening as the beer garden fills; there is no dress code and the mood leans festive rather than refined. Beverages center entirely on Orion's own beer offerings rather than any wine list, and the beer garden is widely considered one of the best places in Naha to mingle with locals during the summer months.
