The complex occupies the site of a Meiji-era cotton spinning mill established in 1888 by the Kurashiki Spinning Company, and the conversion of the original red-brick mill buildings — their walls now densely covered in Virginia creeper that turns crimson each autumn — ranks among the most distinctive adaptive reuse hotel projects in Japan's regional landscape.

Rooms are distributed across the former mill structures and newer wings. The older brick-building rooms deliver the most atmospheric experience: exposed timber ceiling beams, brick-accent walls, and the quiet of sleeping within a converted industrial heritage building.
