Fukuoka Airport is only 5 minutes by subway from Hakata Station — allow 30 minutes for domestic flights and 60 minutes for international departures. No expensive airport transfer is needed.
Taxis are metered and honest — display the destination on Google Maps on your phone for the driver. Most taxis accept IC cards; some accept credit cards. Last subway from Tenjin and Hakata runs around midnight.
