A blue-fronted riverside palace on the Arno that hosts a permanent collection of Pisan art and major temporary exhibitions.
Palazzo Blu is a 14th-century palace on the Lungarno Gambacorti, distinguished by its blue-painted façade added in the 19th century. It is owned by the Fondazione Pisa and combines a permanent collection of paintings and decorative arts relating to Pisa with a programme of international temporary exhibitions. Its location on the river makes it an easy stop between Ponte di Mezzo and Santa Maria della Spina, and on the Luminara of 16 June it stays open until midnight.
