Unlike the city clubs of Florence, La Capannina is a summer-only institution tied to Versilia's high season, drawing a glamorous, fashion-conscious crowd of Italian celebrities, the Milanese fashion set, and well-heeled holidaymakers from the surrounding beach resorts. The atmosphere is polished rather than raw — an older, more affluent crowd than a typical city club, generally 25 and up, with an unwritten expectation of looking the part.
